In March, we're focusing on our eating habits. Our goal is to try one paleo recipe each week. We started last Friday with spaghetti squash with Paleo Meatballs and Sauce from "The Paleo Cookbook" by Jodie and Gilaad Cohen. That recipe has made enough for the two of us for four dinners so far. I was going to try freezing some for later, but we like them so much we haven't done that yet.

I also have a goal to create a 13-piece capsule wardrobe for summer by mid-June, and I'm starting today with a coral tank top. The fabric is pre-washing with the rest of the "red" laundry right now, and I will print out the pattern this afternoon.  I am aiming for one completed garment per week.

@MommaJo It sounds like we live in parallel universes. 1) I struggle with meal planning without over-planning. It usually means either too many leftovers uneaten or food that expires before we can get to it because of the leftovers. 2) Family tree research generates SO much paper! I also tend to get lost in the historical context of my distant relatives, which is a fun distraction, but it IS a distraction. 3) YES! I worry about what I might do if I have to manage without my spouse, but I also worry about what he would need to know to manage without me. I'm not even sure where to start looking for that sort of information. 4) We're working on downsizing in anticipation of retirement, and perhaps a move. But even if we stay here, we need to cut back on the stuff we need to take care of. 5) Not just the health issues themselves, but we need to start thinking about Medicare and where we can get the best health services (again either here or wherever we might retire to). Life throws us a lot to think about. I hope to find inspiration here from others who are working on the same "small stuff" I have going on in my life.

We are building out a new kitchen this year, so for February our goal is to finish a bank of drawers, a new sink and undersink cabinet, and a countertop over them and the dishwasher. The cabinets need an end facing and kickboards, the backsplash is in, but needs grout, the walls will be painted grey, and there will be wood trim around the backsplash tiles. We lost our dachshund, Jack, yesterday, and looking after him has slowed our progress. But we hope to have this area complete by month's end. I tried to post a photo of our work, but it was too big for the forum. So I guess another goal for this month is to learn how to resize photos!

I'm not sure when I found you. I know I've been trying to be organized since the early 1980s. I have monthly lists printed from GON as early as 2000, but I'm pretty sure I was following your website before that. I'm  looking forward to the discussions here. Fingers crossed I don't get too distracted here!

I'm so glad to see the discussion boards reopened. I just pulled out some old files to look through, and found Maria's checklists from February 2000 through 2016! I keep track of them on the computer now, so no more hardcopy files needed. I know I need to let these go, but it IS a lot of fun to go back and see what I accomplished over the years. My husband and I are getting ready to retire in a year or two, so downsizing is our main goal.
